Traditional 'Spencer' type blooms bred to perfection for over a century! This tall variety brings ruffled blooms with a smooth texture for a fantastic mix of colours.

  • Scented, mix of large flowered sweet peas.
  • Sow indoors for surest results, 1.5cm (1/2") deep, 5 seeds per 12cm (5") pot of compost. Water well and place in a cold frame, greenhouse or cool windowsill. A temperature of 15 (60oF) is ideal. Seedlings ususally appear in 12-21 days. Keep moist. Pinch out the growing tip when two paris of leaves have formed to encourage bushy growth. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 30 cm (1') apart. Support with tall canes or netting.
  • Sow outdoors for ease, where they are to flower, 1.5cm (1/2") deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Sow 2 seeds together every 30cm (1'). Remove weaker seedlings, which can then be transplanted. Seeds sown in sutumn generally flower earlier the following year. Pick blooms regularly to prolong flowering season.

  • Seedlings are best protected against bird damage with a few short twigs. Autumn sowings should be over wintered in cool but frost free conditions.

  • In normal circumstances, we aim to deliver items marked standard delivery (smaller parcels) within 5-7 working days for orders placed before 11am Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
  • Orders are sent via a DPD Next Day service. On the morning of the day of delivery you will receive a 1-hour delivery window via email or text.
  • Orders containing "pre-orders" will be despatched when the order is complete.
  • Pre-order delivery dates are estimated, and are therefore subject to change.
  • Highlands delivery is available with a surcharge calculated at checkout. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to Northern Ireland.
  • If standard items are ordered with larger items marked 2 Man or Pallet Delivery, the items will be combined with that delivery method.
  • Please note that plants are not despatched on Fridays.

  • Larger items, including garden furniture, will be delivered via the appropriate courier. We offer  a courier service to UK mainland addresses from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). You will receive an email after placing your order advising which service will be used.
  • For products held in stock we aim to deliver within 7-10 working days of your order, providing the courier is able to contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day.
  • Please ensure you provide a telephone number and email address to enable our courier to contact you and avoid a delay.
  • If we have attempted to deliver on the pre-booked day but no one is at the delivery address, the following charges will apply:-  Pallet deliveries - £50 per pallet, 2 man deliveries - £70. 
  • For bulk compost orders,  delivery will be made on pallets. Unfortunately the delivery company will be unable to remove items from the pallet or take the pallet away with them and delivery will be made to the kerbside.
  • Please note that your order may be delivered on a very large vehicle, up to 18T and good access will be required. If you are unsure whether a large vehicle can access your address, please contact us BEFORE placing your order.

  • Orders for large deliveries to offshore islands and parts of the Highlands incur a surcharge. Please contact us for further details.
